What's on

The FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy is head-to-head, short, sharp racing on mixed surfaces (dirt and asphalt) contained within amphitheatre venues. High profile drivers are equipped with RX Supercars with over 600bhp and the ability to accelerate from 0-60mph in less than two seconds.

An expanded series was confirmed for 2015, with new rounds at Formula One venues Hockenheim in Germany and the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. In 2016, an all-new city race was held in Riga, Latvia and in 2017 rallycross visited the continent of Africa for the first time with a leg scheduled in Cape Town, South Africa.

A twist to the 2018 calendar is two new events at Silverstone, UK, for the inaugural Speedmachine festival and a brand new event at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Texas, USA. Race meetings include a number of short, sharp action-packed qualifying heats with the most successful drivers progressing through to the finals.

Speedmachine will host 11 spectacular Group B rally and rallycross cars at Silverstone. Fans will be able to get up close and personal with the legendary cars as part of a special static display.  They will also be able to watch some of the fastest, most powerful rally cars ever made as they battle it out on the newly-built rallycross track.

Group B cars have been commonly known as the golden era of rallying, mostly due to their incredible speed. Introduced in the early 1980s, the Group B era was short-lived but at Speedmachine they will be back with a vengeance as some of the most iconic machines ever made take to the circuit.

Prodrive is one of world’s most successful motorsport organisations.

Over the last three decades it has won six World Rally titles, British Touring Car championships, Le Mans as well as world sports car series.

At Speedmachine it will be displaying a selection of the iconic cars it has created from the very first 1984 Porsche 911 SC RS and MG 6R4 group B rally cars to Subaru’s driven by World Rallycross Colin McRae and Richard Burns as well as some of its more recent machinery.

Its difficult to describe what exactly “Players Show” is as its far more than just an event.

Its a brand a movement maybe even like a club, yet there no official membership, you just know if your cars good enough to get in the shows or not, simple really.

What started out 12 years ago by two friends Jay McToldridge and Car Taylor has turned into a brand that now has 4 shows annually both in the UK and USA.

Famous for building outrageous looking cars in the early years and being big players in the early days  of Air suspension in the UK, they now build awarding winning show vehicles.
